I Thessalonians 5:17 commands: "Pray without ceasing."
What God wants to see is that ordinary people like you and me can accomplish extraordinary things through prayer. Don't stop asking for what you want God to do. Don't give up. The journey might seem (far) miles away, but keep on praying. Persistent prayer will get answered. Prayer isn't easy. It's a discipline and discipline requires persistence.
Matthew 7:7-8 gives the three-fold aspects of prayer: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Ask, seek and knock, which implies continuous or habitual prayer dialogue between God and people; especially His covenant partners.
Our Father is totally set apart from all. He isn't a man. He is GOD! When you go to God in prayer, you are going to the One who is mightier and greater than you or anyone. Take comfort in the fact that when His children come to Him, He never condemns. It's not His will that you perish, but that you believe.
In Christ,
